There is an array of types of flooring available to consumers in today's market, from carpets to laminates.
In this blog we explore one of the most popular flooring options - Luxury Vinyl Tiles, or LVT.
LVT's popularity is growing remarkably fast, and at Carpets And More we now stock a huge range of LVT products, but there is still sometimes some confusion as to when fitting LVT is the best option, and what the benefits of LVT are over other types of flooring. There are major brands that have become household names in the LVT market, such as Karndean, Amtico, Associated Weavers Invictus, Quick Step Livyn, Luvanto, Lifestyle Floors or our very own Habitat LVT!
Price - LVT is generally priced significantly lower than hardwood flooring. Being man-made, luxury vinyl tiles are a much more affordable option for those who are looking for a hardwood or similar style floor, but who want a higher quality product than laminate. Higher quality LVT tends to be thicker, and therefore of course priced a little higher than thinner variants.
Versatility - LVT can be used throughout the home, in entrance hallways, landings, kitchens, bathrooms, its versatility is unmatched. It is a hard wearing and importantly waterproof product, with grip and slip resistant properties, meaning you could in theory place it in every room in your house if you wanted to! LVT can also withstand temperature change well, meaning that for areas with underfloor heating or areas that get very warm such as conservatories it can be a great choice.
Range of designs - There is probably no other product that offers such a range of designs available than LVT. As the product is specially printed, there is no limit to the design you can have on an LVT tile. It's for this reason you will find such an array of colours and patterns on LVT flooring that you will struggle to find with alternative products - see for yourself in our LVT range!
Easy Installation - Luxury Vinyl Tiles are incredibly easy to install, with many ranges comprising of a click system where the separate tiles easily click together. Alternatively other products are glue down - again a much simpler means of installation that alternative types of flooring. You can also choose to install underlay underneath your LVT, but this does not make installation any more difficult. You can find our range of LVT accessories here on our website, where we stock many products to assist in installation.
Maintenance - One of the easiest to maintain types of flooring, LVT features a protective top layer to make the product resistant to scuffs, scratches and chips that may easily happen to hardwood or laminates. If your floor requires a deep clean it is also safe to use chemical cleaners on LVT products. These properties make Luxury Vinyl Tiles a popular choice for areas of the house that may see more traffic than average such as hallways, or even for in commercial areas!
If you're therefore looking for a durable flooring product that is cheaper than hardwood, but retains the characteristics of a high quality product such as being easy to maintain and long-lasting, LVT is sure to be a good choice for you. At Carpets And More we have a huge range of LVT products from companies such as Luvanto, Karndean and Polyflor, alongside an extensive list of LVT accessories to make installing and caring for your floor easier than ever.
